This is my first blog post so let me start by introducing myself. My name is Louis Kaufman and I am a dentist. I grew up in a dentist family and always knew I wanted to be a dentist. My passion is dentistry, but it's the business of dentistry that keeps me motivated. As a dentist, I am a small business owner. That, in and of itself, is a full time job. So, my challenge in life is how can I be great as a father, dentist, and business owner? It's all about setting priorities, setting expectations, and pursuing realistic goals.
My goal with this blog is to focus some time each week on improving my business. I am a very good dentist, and over time, I will be great. I want to be a great business owner now. The best way I can think to accomplish this is to fully evaluate my business operations, refine best practices, improve communication with the people on my team, and adopt new technologies that are designed to help me. I will use this forum as an opportunity to explore business challenges, work on resolutions, evaluate technology solutions, and report on my progress.
